Husqvarna 542i XP® is a professional battery chainsaw designed for precision and responsiveness in demanding tasks. Its ability to instantly restart mid-cut gives you full control in every situation, helping you maintain momentum and accuracy without interruption. Optimised for robust cutting performance, the saw delivers fast, efficient results with the X-CUT® SP33G chain. All the benefits of battery – with the feeling and response of a petrol bite. This unique combination is made possible by the saw’s clutch, which enables the same instant restart and cutting control you’d expect from a petrol saw – but in a battery-powered format.
FEATURES

Centrifugal clutch

The centrifugal clutch provides kick-start energy at the start of every cut, and helps keeping the chain from getting stuck in the wood.

High chain speed for fast, smooth cutting

 

Intuitive, accessible keypad

The accessible keypad helps you to stay in control; start and stop easily by pressing a button. A savE™-function allows for a choice between max runtime or max power. Charge status is always clearly visible when the battery is activated, the oil drop symbol lit up when chain oil is running low and there’s a reminder if the chain brake is in ’on’-position.

 

Chain oil sensor

The oil indicator in the key pad lits up when refilling chain oil is needed

 

Low Maintenance

No fuel refilling, fewer parts and electronically-controlled drive system for less downtime

 

Part of the Husqvarna BLI-X 36 V battery system

This product is part of the Pro range within the Husqvarna BLi-X 36V battery system, designed for demanding, professional use. Including high-performance machines, high-capacity batteries, and efficient charging options, the system is fully scalable to meet your needs.

 

Power-Conserving savE™ Mode

SavE™ mode maximises the run time, reduces noise levels and preserves product battery life by lowering the rpm. Ideal for tasks that do not require full power. Just press the button to turn savE™ mode on and off.

 

Retained bar nuts

The retaining function prevents losing the bar nuts.

 

Weatherproof (IPX4)

This battery-powered Husqvarna machine fulfils the IPX4 classification for rain resistance. This makes it a long-lasting and reliable tool that can be used all year round in all weather conditions.

 

Automatic shutdown

The product is automatically shut down after 3 minutes of being idle, which prolongs the life of the battery and also lower the risk for injuries when left unattended. With the chainbrake activated, the shutdown occurs after 30 minutes.

 

Flip-up tank cap

The flip-up tank cap is easy to open.

 

Efficient brushless motor

Our in-house developed, advanced brushless motor is 25 % more efficient than a standard brush motor. This means that the motor provides a high and consistent torque.

Inertia-Activated Chain Brake

In case of a kickback, the effective inertia-activated chain brake immediately stops the chain to reduce the likelihood of injury.

 

Low Carbon Emissions

By choosing this product, you can feel confident that it produces lower carbon emissions during active use compared to a traditional petrol product. This battery-driven product does not emit any CO₂ during use while still providing the power and quality that you expect from a Husqvarna product. However, it’s important to note that CO₂ emissions are generated during other stages of the product´s lifecycle, such as production, charging and end-of-life disposal.
